About the Owner

My name is Sandra Ling, and I am the owner of Home Sweet Home Cat Sitting. I am the proud "mom" of 3 wonderful cats, Charles, Raisin & "Lady O" Lizzie, pictured left.

In 1994, Charles and Raisin ("The Boys") were adopted from a local shelter as kittens. This experience provided the impetus for me to begin volunteering for local non-profit animal groups. It was this involvement that brought "Lady O" Lizzie into my home in 2001. After her owner had passed away, she had been residing with a local rescue group and was deteriorating from stress. I took her in as a foster cat, and nursed her back to health in my home after a lengthy illness. Needless to say, I fell in love with her and adopted her as my own!

In 1994, I had graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego. After years of working full time in the corporate world, I discovered the petsitting industry, and the idea of working with animals as a profession seemed too good to be true!

In November 1998, I decided to jump in headfirst, and opened up my part-time petsitting business, Creature Comforts Petsitting. In February of 2000, the opportunity arose to purchase Home Sweet Home Cat Sitting, a petsitting service established in 1993. I was able to quit my full time job, and never look back! It has been such a rewarding experience, spending my time bonding with all of the incredible, unique kitty characters I have met and come to love. It has also been wonderful to meet great people who share my love for animals.
